This blog post explains the solution to the problem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Problem description<br \/>\n<\/strong>A certain group of Quick Heal users has reported to be experiencing system startup issues. The issue occurred after users received the update that was released on 30<sup>th<\/sup> June 2016 at around\u00a07:50 PM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Affected users<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Not all Quick Heal users are affected by this issue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Affected language version<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 English.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Affected Operating System<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022 <\/strong>The issue is not specific to any Operating System.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cause<br \/>\n<\/strong>The issue occurred due to an addition of LNK based proactive detection during startup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution for affected users<br \/>\n<\/strong>We recommend users to follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n<p>1. Start your computer in <strong>Safe Mode<\/strong>. Refer to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikihow.com\/Start-Windows-in-Safe-Mode\" target=\"_blank\">guide<\/a> for help.<\/p>\n<p>2. Start Command Prompt (Administrator mode) and navigate to <strong>Quick Heal<\/strong> installation directory.<\/p>\n<p>3. Type <strong><em>Quickup.exe \/rollback<\/em><\/strong> in the space as indicated below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.quickheal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/CMD2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-83135\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.quickheal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/CMD2.png\" alt=\"CMD2\" width=\"647\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.quickheal.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/CMD2.png 647w, https:\/\/www.quickheal.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/CMD2-300x147.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. Once the process is complete, restart the system in Normal Mode and take the latest updates released on 1<sup>st<\/sup> July 2016 at 2:15 PM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Users who are not affected by this issue are also recommended to take the updates released on 1<sup>st<\/sup> July 2016 and restart their computer.<\/p>\n<p>If the issue does not get resolved after following the above-mentioned steps, please connect with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickheal.co.in\/quick-heal-support-center\/\" target=\"_blank\">Support Team<\/a>; they will be glad to assist you.<\/p>\n<p><em>We sincerely regret the inconvenience that this issue might have caused.
