This is according to a State of Information Security Survey 2014, conducted by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), a global consulting firm. This survey comprised 624 CEOs and senior management from 17 enterprises in India. 2012 recorded about 3000 IT security incidents. In May-June 2013, however, the number has shot up by 98%. Sivarama Krishan, PwC India Leader, expressed his views on the superiority of the US in tackling cyber threats, and that India is still catching up. But looks like the heavy weight champion, just lost the title to Indonesia. Reportedly, the second quarter of 2013 saw a twofold increase in cyber attacks from Indonesia. Compared to the previous quarter this year, Indonesia has spewed 17 percent more Internet attack traffic. The social media giant has declared that teenagers would now be able to adjust their privacy settings and share their posts publicly. This restriction was called off last Wednesday. According to Payment Association of South Africa (Pasa), the payment card systems of all the victims were compromised by the hackers responsible for the scam. And the malware that was used to execute this entire cyber goes by the name &#8216;Dexter&#8217;. Officials are suspecting a European-based gang to be behind this incident.
