Here&#8217;s an easy step-by-step guide to help you out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Parental Control and Why is it Important?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In today&#8217;s digital era, where Internet rules the roost, Parental Control can only be referred to as the need of the hour for every parent. With good parenting skills combined with a powerful parent control feature, parents can be their kids&#8217; protective armor in the online world. This <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.quickheal.com\/parental-control-its-role-and-its-importance\/\" target=\"_blank\">post <\/a>elaborates on the benefits of parental control for both kids and their parents. Check the box against this option, and click \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>categories<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d. Depending on the category you choose to block, click the \u201c<strong>Allow<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>Deny<\/strong>\u201d tab.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>. Once done, click the \u201c<strong>OK<\/strong>\u201d tab, and then \u201c<strong>Save Changes<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3<\/strong>. Also, you have the \u201c<strong>Exclude<\/strong>\u201d option. Check the box against this option, click \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>Block List<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d. Click \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>OK<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d and then \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>Save Changes<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Quick Heal Parental Control feature also allows you to deny access to subdomains of a website you wish to block.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">For example, if you block \u201cgoogle.com\u201d and its subdomains too, then access to all websites containing \u201cgoogle.com\u201d will be denied. For this, simply check the box against \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>Also block subdomains<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d, and click \u201c<strong>OK<\/strong>\u201d [as shown in fig (g)].<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><strong>C<\/strong>. The third option \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>Schedule Internet Access<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d [refer Fig (C)] allows you to fix a schedule for Internet access. Check the box against this option, and click \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><b>Configure<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">\u201d. Now, you can fix a day and the time for Internet access. Simply click the white space against the desired time slot and the days. For example, as you see in the screenshot above:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">&#8211; on Sunday, Internet can be accessed only from 6 am &#8211; 7 am.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\">&#8211; on Monday, it can be accessed only from 9 am &#8211; 10 am, and so on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;\"><strong>3<\/strong>.
