    How to Install and Activate Quick Heal Mobile Security?
    Download and Install Quick Heal Mobile Security for Android:

    You can download the installer from the following website either from your device or from a PC. If you have downloaded the installer on your PC, copy the file to your Android device.

    To install Quick Heal Mobile Security, follow these steps:

    1. From the device, tap installer (.apk) file to continue with the installation.

    3. Quick Heal Mobile Security is installed and the Application installed screen is displayed with Open and Done buttons.
    4. Quick Heal icon is displayed in All apps.

    4. Tap on About option.

    For BlackBerry:
    1. Open Quick Heal Mobile Security application.
    2. In the menu option, tap Help.
    3. Tap on About option.
    When should I renew my copy?
    For Android:
    Once the subscription of your copy of Quick Heal Mobile Security expires, you need to renew it to continue receiving updates against the latest viruses.
    For BlackBerry:
    If your license has expired, you cannot use some features of Quick Heal Mobile Security. To avoid this, we strongly recommend that you renew your license before it expires.
    When should I reactivate my copy?

    You can use Quick Heal Mobile Security on your same device in case for some reason you have deactivated it from your device. All you have to do is simply install it on your device and reactivate it using the same product key that you used during registration. There are two ways in which you can reactivate your Quick Heal Mobile Security:

    • Reactivation using Internet
    • Reactivation using SMS

    Reactivation through Internet

    1. Tap Activate. The Activate License screen appears.
    2. Select the Using Internet option.
    3. Enter 20-digit valid product key in the Enter Product Key text box.

    Deactivation using Internet

    If you wish to Deactivate Quick Heal Mobile Security using Internet, please perform the following steps:

    How to remove any virus from an already installed application (for Android only)?

    You will have to initiate Full Scan on your Android mobile to scan all the installed applications for any existing virus. You have an option to skip or uninstall the application in case any threat is found.

    How do I manually scan my mobile for virus?

    You can initiate a full scan or a Scan Memory Card to scan your mobile for any threat

    If you wish to scan your mobile phone, please perform the following steps:

    1. On the application Dashboard, Tap device Menu button. (For Android only)
    2. Select Scan option from the Menu options.
    3. Tap Full Scan / Scan Memory Card to begin the scan.
    4. On completion of the scan, Tap View Detail to see report in case any threat is found. If no virus is found, No Threat Found message is displayed.
    5. In case any infection is found in already installed application, then you need to take action to resolve it. Tap Resolve Now button and select the application. Choose either Skip or Uninstall options. (For Android only)
    What is Call Block?

    Call Block feature of Quick Heal Mobile Security allows you to block all unwanted calls from your Contacts or Non–Contacts. To block calls from any contacts or non-contacts, you will have to add the contact or non-contact number to the black list. To block calls from all non-contacts, you will have to simply enable the option Block Calls from Non-Contacts while you enable the Call Block feature.

    Can I block calls from a number but get SMS from the same?

    Yes, you can block calls from a number but get SMS from the same number. For that you will have to enable call block and enter the number in the black list. However, uncheck Add to SMS Black List option to receive messages.

    What does the Anti-Theft feature do?
    Quick Heal Mobile Security's Anti-Theft feature protects your mobile when it is lost or stolen. It allows you to lock down the device making it useless for someone else to use it. It also helps you to Block phone on SIM change, remotely wipe data and get device location.
    What is a black list?

    In case you wish to block calls and SMS from certain numbers, you need to list them. This list is called as a black list. Calls or messages from these numbers will be blocked.

    Can I block calls and SMS from any specific contact numbers?
    Yes, you can block calls and SMS from any contact number. However, you will have to enter contact in black list first if you want to block calls and SMS from those contact numbers.
    Can I block calls and SMS from non-contacts?
    Yes, you can block calls and SMS from non- contacts. To block calls and SMS from non-contacts, you will have to simply enable the option of Block Calls from Non-Contacts and Block SMS from Non-Contacts.
    How can I block my mobile remotely?
    You can block your mobile remotely in case it is lost or stolen. This will prevent any confidential data from being misused. Just send the following message from any mobile to your mobile.
    • BLOCK antitheft_secret_code
    How to unblock my blocked mobile?

    If your mobile phone gets blocked due to SIM change or remote lock, then you can unblock it by performing the following steps:

    1. On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
    2. Enter the Secret Code in the Secret Code text box that you set while configuring Anti-Theft.
    3. Tap Submit.
    How can I unblock my phone if I forgot my secret code?
    Unblock Using Forgot Code option
    1. On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
    2. Tap Forgot Code?
    3. Enter answers to the security questions.
    4. Tab Submit.
    5. Change Secret Code screen appears.
    6. Enter New Secret Code and Confirm Secret Code.
    7. Tap Save.
    Unblock using recovery code option
    1. On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
    2. Tap Unlock using recovery code.
    3. Tap the link that appears to obtain recovery code.
    4. Enter the Product Key and Email Address that you used during activation.
    5. A recovery code is sent to your email ID. Enter the recovery code in the text box on the Unblock Phone screen.
    6. Tab Submit.
    7. Enter a new secret code in the Secret Code text box and re-enter the same secret code in the Confirm Secret Code text box to confirm.
    8. Tap Next.
    9. Select your questions and answers in the Choose Questions and Answers text boxes respectively.
    10. Tap Save.
    How will I unblock my mobile if I forgot the answers to security questions?

    In case you forgot the answers to security questions, you can still unblock the device and reset the security questions by performing the following steps:

    1. On the mobile screen, tap Unblock.
    2. Tap Forgot Code?
    3. Enter any invalid answers to the security questions. Tap Submit.
    4. Tap Forgot Answers?
    5. Tap the link that appears to obtain recovery code.
    6. Enter the Product Key and Email Address that you used during activation.
    7. Enter the recovery code in the text box on the Unblock Phone screen.
    8. Tap Submit.
    9. Enter a new secret code in the Secret Code text box and re-enter the same secret code in the Confirm Secret Code to confirm.
    10. Tap Next.
    11. Choose Questions and Answers.
    12. Tap Save.
    How to uninstall Quick Heal Mobile Security?

    Uninstalling Quick Heal Mobile Security exposes your mobile and your valuable data to virus threats. However, in case you need to remove Quick Heal Mobile Security, you must first deactivate it. When you reinstall Quick Heal Mobile Security later on same device, you can re-activate it without much hassle.

    For Android:
    1. Go to Android phone settings and open Applications.
    2. Open Manage Applications.
    3. Tap on Quick Heal Mobile Security.
    4. Tap Uninstall.
    5. A prompt asks you Uninstall Application.
    6. Tap Uninstall.
    7. After Uninstallation is complete, Finished message is displayed.

    To register the product, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Quick Heal Total Security.
    2. In License Agreement screen, tap I Agree.
    3. In the Registration Type screen, tap Activation.

      Important: If the device is not connected to the Internet, a screen with the option Activate using SMS appears. It helps to activate the Product Key through SMS. However, if SIM is not present in the device, a message that the device is not connected to the Internet appears. .

      If registration is done through SMS, the mobile number of the active SIM in the device is registered with the Product Key.

    4. Enter the 20-digit valid product key in the Product Key text box. Enter relevant information in the User Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Confirm Email Addresstext boxes. Enter the mobile number only if the registration is done through Internet.

      NOTE: If the Quick Heal Tablet Security is to be activated with Quick Heal Remote Device Management (Quick Heal RDM) option, then Manage through Web option should be selected. If this service is not required, then deselect the Manage through Web option and proceed.

    5. Tap Submit.

      NOTE: If the device is not connected to the Internet, then register through SMS as described in Step 3.

      • Currently Registration/Reactivation/Renewal/Deactivation and conversion of trial copy to registered copy through SMS facility is available only in India.
      • Mobile numbers listed in the National Do Not Call Registry (DND) list may or may not be able to Register/Reactivate/Deactivate/Renew and convert trial copy to registered copy through the SMS methods depending on the Indian government's current telephone regulatory policies.
      • Registering through SMS will cost the user as per the subscriber's SMS charges.

    You can install and reactivate Quick Heal Total Security on your mobile device with the following types of packs whenever required:

    Quick Heal Total Security Lifetime Pack: Reactivation of Quick Heal Total Security Lifetime Pack using the same product key is possible only on the same mobile device.

    Quick Heal Total Security Freedom Pack: Reactivation of Quick Heal Total Security Freedom Pack using the same product key is possible only with the same mobile number on any supported Android mobile device.

    Reactivating Quick Heal Total Security

    Reactivation of Quick Heal Total Security using the same product key is only possible with the registered mobile number and can be done on any mobile device. Reactivation is similar to the initial registration process.

    To reactivate Quick Heal Total Security, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Quick Heal Total Security.
    2. In the License Agreement screen, tap I Agree.
    3. In the Registration screen, tap Activate.

    Important: If the mobile is not connected to the Internet, a screen with the option Reactivate using SMS appears. It helps to reactivate the Product Key through SMS. However, if there is no SIM present in the mobile, a message that the mobile is not connected to the Internet appears.

    1. Enter the 20-digit valid product key in the Product Key text box.
    2. Enter the relevant information in the User Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Confirm Email Address text boxes. Enter the mobile number only if reactivating through Internet.

    NOTE: If the Quick Heal Total Security is activated with Quick Heal Remote Device Management (Quick Heal RDM) option, then Manage through Web option should be selected. If this service is not required, then deselect the Manage through Web option and proceed.

    1. Tap Submit.

    NOTE:

    • If the mobile is not connected to the Internet, reactivate through SMS as described in Step 3.
    • Enter the same mobile number that was provided during registration.

    How to configure blacklist?

    To configure blacklist;

    1. Go to Quick Heal Total Security > Call Blocking.
    2. If Configure Black List is disabled, turn Enable Call Blocking option ON.
    3. Tap Configure Black List.
    4. To add contact number to blacklist, tap Add to Black List.
    5. Tap the Contacts button to add a contact from the phone directory or enter a number directly in the Black List text box.
    6. To block SMS from the same contact, select the Add To SMS Black List option.
    7. Tap the Save button.
    8. To remove contact number from blacklist, tap the Remove button.
    9. Select individual numbers or select all numbers by tapping the Select All option.
    10. Tap the Remove button.
    11. In the confirmation screen, tap Remove.
    Can the user block calls from a number, but receive SMS from the same?

    Yes, users can block calls from a number, but receive SMS from the same number. To avail this feature, enable call blocking and enter the number in the blacklist. However, uncheck Add to SMS Black List option to continue receiving messages.

    What is a blacklist?

    To block calls or SMS from certain numbers, create a blacklist of such numbers. Calls or messages from these numbers will be blocked.

    Can I block calls and SMS from any specific contact numbers?

    Yes, you can block calls and SMS from any contact number. However, you need to enter the contacts in the blacklist.

    Can I block calls and SMS from non-contacts?

    Yes, you can block calls and SMS from non-contacts. To block calls and SMS from non-contacts, you need to simply enable the Block Calls from Non-Contacts and Block SMS from Non-Contacts options.

    You can provide password protection to the settings and configurations of Quick Heal application by turning Password Protection ON. Password Protection ensures that your settings are protected from modification by unauthorized users.

    To enable Password Protection, follow these steps:

    1. Open Quick Heal Total Security.

    Trusted SIMs list is a list of SIM cards that are considered reliable and safe. The device is not blocked if a SIM from the trusted list is being used. Fifty (50) SIM cards can be added to this list.

    Advanced protection helps to scan applications having security risks (PUA) and adwares.
